San Francisco Medical Coding Institute (SFMCI) offers short-termed medical coding and reimbursement certification programs in San Francisco, Pleasanton, Woodland Hills, and Redwood City. The population we serve consists of individuals who are reentering the workforce, dislocated workers, semi-retirees, and high school graduates entering into the field of medical coding and reimbursement.
The curriculum serves as a means for current healthcare professionals seeking to advance their career and gain their coding certification credentials.
SFMCI is licensed by The American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) to facilitate their Professional Medical Coding Curriculum. All SFMCI instructors are CPC, and CPC-I credentialed by The American Academy of Professional Coders with 25 years of coding and reimbursement experience.
Courses are offered on weekends and evenings to accommodate the scheduling demands of working professionals and child care responsibilities. Two and three-day boot camps are additional training opportunities for individuals desiring a more accelerated course offering.
The AAPC Professional Medical Coding Curriculum prepares our students to successfully write the Certified Professional Coder examination and the Certified Professional Coder-Hospital examination. Because of the quality of our programs and our instructors’ dedication, 95% of our students pass the CPC examination.
